the history of the dutch label Kuyichi began in peru in 2000, when the founders recognized the extreme impact on the environment and people of commercial cotton cultivation. they then worked with local farmers to plant organic cotton, but the big labels rejected the offer of organic cotton. without further ado, the founders simply decided to found their own label, Kuyichi, and thus began the organic revolution. since then they have been making beautiful jeans from GOTS-certified organic cotton and recycled denim. Kuyichi is the Peruvian god of the rainbow.
